Greater Akron AA League Mission Statement:
The Greater Akron AA Baseball League is a non-profit organization operating to enrich the experience of 18 & over baseball players in the Greater Akron area. Providing an affordable and competitive playing atmosphere for aspiring, college, ex-college, and ex-professional baseball players that want to continue to play baseball at the highest level. Offering teams and players the opportunity to compete at the local, regional, and national level. While at the same time, the AA League administrators, teams, managers, and players will continue to carry on the rich tradition and history of our predecessors.

Greater Akron AA League Key Dates - 2011

February

26 - Manager's Meeting (12:00pm - 1:00pm) at Legend's Sports Bar in Green, OH

  • $500 Initial Payment due

March

26 - Initial version of 2011 regular season schedule will be mailed to Team Managers. 

  • No League Manager's Meeting

April

9 - Manager's Meeting (12:00pm - 1:00pm) at Legend's Sports Bar in Green, OH

  • $500 Payment due
  • Final version of 2011 regular season schedule discussed with managers

May

14 - Manager's Meeting (12:00pm - 1:00pm) at Legend's Sports Bar in Green, OH

  • Initial submittal of rosters, all available contracts and insurance forms
  • Baseballs, lineup cards and scorebooks distributed to managers in good financial standing

21 - $750 Payment Due - No Manager's Meeting

31 - Greater Akron AA Baseball League Opening Day

June

18 - $750 Payment due - No Manager's Meeting

July

2 - $750 Final Payment due - No Manager's Meeting

5 - Greater Akron AA League All Star Game vs. Akron Roy Hobbs

  • 7:00PM at the Ballpark at Hudson

14 - End of the AA League Regular Season

16 - Manager's Meeting (12:00pm - 1:00pm) at Applebee's in Brimfield, OH

  • Establish Seating for AA League Tournament
  • Selection of Individual League Awards

18-25 - Greater Akron AA League Championship Tournament

21-24 - NABF College Division Regional in Youngstown, OH

28-31 - NABF Major Division Regional in Youngstown, OH

August

4-7 - AABC East Regional Tournament in Canton, OH

4-7 - NABF College Division World Series in Toledo, OH

10-14 - AABC World Series in Houston, TX

11-14 - NABF Major Division World Series in Louisville, KY
